Beauty Reviews!!

I am searching for the best beauty products to use on the big day. So I've decided to keep track of beauty and make up products I've used to compare which would be best. My friend Sarah agreed to do my make up so I'm looking for great long lasting products that work with my skin.

MAC Dazzleglass Lip gloss A+++

This is the best lip gloss I have ever used!!!!! It lasts for hours and even when the gloss wears away, the color is still on my lips and looks like a stain. I am such a fan of this stuff.  It's super glossy...which I love and has such great color pigmentation, but is still sheer. I have the pink color on the left. I want to try every color. :) I have never been this happy with a gloss.

Urban Decay Primer Potion A+++

I tried a sample of Urban Decay Primer Potion and I am hooked! I've read a ton of great reviews of this product, but only tried it recently. Once I'm done with my current sample I will be sure to buy a full size. I'm making the switch from Two Faced Shadow Insurance for a couple of reasons. It is easier to apply, it comes with a wand that makes application a bit quicker. This primer is much less drying than other primer I was using. This makes a difference for my eyelids that were a bit dried up and I was having to put extra eye cream on my lids to counter act the drying from Two Faced Shadow Insurance. Urban Decay's Primer requires a lot less product to be effective. This primer works really well, my shadow doesn't budge or crease and it helps the color of my shadows stay vibrant during the day. Check this product out!

Two Faced Shadow Insurance  A++

Two Faced Shadow Insurance is an eye shadow primer. I put this on my eyelids and brow bone. I use this every time I wear shadow or liner. I have VERY oily lids and typically my eye shadow will crease and melt after a few hours. This stuff is awesome!!! It really works; my eye shadow doesn’t crease or move at all. It helps the shadow blend easier on my eyelid (this becomes especially important with some less expensive brands of eye shadow) and it stays put all day. It also helps the pigment of your eye shadow stay truer to its color. It’s about $17 dollars and I’ve had the same tube for 2 years I think, I use it almost everyday. I’m almost due for another. The only downside is that if you forget to take it off it’s a bit drying on your lids. Once I remove it, I put eye cream on my lids to rectify that. Love this stuff!

Maybelline Superstay Power Gloss    A-

I decided to try this product when it was 50% at Walgreens. I have not tried other long wearing glosses before this one, so this one is my first “experience.” This product has two steps 1) Apply color 2) Apply gloss. The color portion is thin and you need to give it a moment to dry and then cover it with the gloss. It’s super glossy and a bit sticky. I love the way it looks! The color is fairly true to what it looks like in the tube. I bought pink and it has gold shimmer in the color as well. I don’t know the name of it though. I would definitely try other colors as well. I’m interested in trying the red.  As far as staying power, it lasts much longer than the average gloss. Mine stays for about 2-3 hours, but I tend to wear this in the morning where I am consistently drinking coffee. Even after the gloss wears away, the color stays on for a bit longer. For the price, I think it’s a good buy, but I plan on checking others as well to see if I can find a longer lasting gloss. J
